The Sunflower Blues Fest

So..I promised more about my weekend. There are soo many photos to go through so I am just going to put a few on her and the rest you can see in a few days on my flickr account. (www.flickr.com/redbanks626) First of all if you have never gone to the Sunflower Festival in Clarksdale, MS and you are local...you really should. Its free to the public and pretty soon the only way you will hear these guys sing is on recordings. There aren't very many of the older generation left. Thats not to say there isn't an enormous amount of new talent in this generation and the next generation, but there is something special about seeing the orginals :=) . Unfortunately, there was no way that we could see everyone that played. Music was everywhere....inside, outside stages, street performers, Reds, Morgan Freeman's Ground Zero...everywhere. Here are just a few things that I saw this weekend:

Wow..what a great last few days...

First of all ...Friday was my 10 year anniversary! I can't belive its been a decade all ready. (Love you baby!! ) Since we have soo much on our plate we decided to just take ourselves out to eat at Kyotos. I love love sushi and habachi grilling. The chefs make it soo much fun and we sat next to this sweet young couple that had just gotten married two days ago. She wants to be a photographer so we talked shop for a bit. Can't believe I didn't get her take a photo of us... Shame on me..lol Look at this all this yummy food. Wish I still had leftovers. Oh.. the top center photo is Mississippi Flower roll..crabmeat..cream cheese..all kinds of yummy goodness..

more to come..gotta go fix my tire before it goes completely flat in my drive way..but I really do want to tell ya about going down to Clarksdale for the Sunflower Blues Fest...got some awesome photos... Check back in a bit. :-)

Miss Emma

I had such fun taking photos of Emma. Thank you soo much for inviting me into your home Jennifer and Ernie! We set our shoot up on the beautiful deck outside and if you know anything about the weather in August in Memphis we were drenched in sweat even in the coolest part of the morning. lol However, Ms Emma was trooper. We got some super sweet shots of her and mom and dad. They will be up in your client gallery before weeks end. I will send you an email Jennifer. :-)

Little Miss Z

I had to wait almost 2 months to get my hands on this little lady. My first sight of her was through the glass in the NICU. No Aunts allowed. :-( ...but it was worth the wait. Isn't she beautiful and such a little chunker now.
